Suprabhatham, the first Seva of the day, is a half-hour ritual that rouses Lord Sri Venkateswara from His celestial slumber through enchanting hymns. The hymns include ‘Kausalya Supraja Rama’ Stotram, Sri Venkatesha Prapapthi, Sri Venkatesha Mangalam, and others.
During the Tirumala Suprabhata Seva, a ritual called Navanitha Harathi is performed, where Lord Sri Venkateswara is offered a mixture of cow’s milk, butter, and sugar. This sacred act takes place in the ‘Sayana Mandapam’ of the Lord. It’s important to note that children below the age of ten are not allowed to participate in the Suprabhata Seva.
Following the Suprabhata Seva, the revered ‘Bangaru Vakili’ is opened. However, during the Dhanurmasam period, instead of Suprabhatham, the devotees recite ‘Andal Thiruppavai’ to awaken Lord Venkateswara. Additionally, the Theertha (holy water) that is stored in vessels during the night is distributed to the devotees.
